FAQs
-
Yes, absolutely! As a doula, I am a non-medical professional who is here to provide you with emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am not here to replace the role of a doctor or a midwife. You will still need to see a qualified medical care provider to oversee the health and safety of you and your baby. I will work alongside your medical team to ensure you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your birth experience.
-

Yes! Doulas support births in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. If you choose to birth in a hospital, I will work alongside your medical team to advocate for you and your baby and to make the environment more comfortable and personalized.

That’s okay! Many families schedule a free consultation to see if a Doula feels like the right fit. A Doula’s role is to walk alongside you, not take over your birth experience.
